This policy explains how Lake Street Diamond Company, LLC (“we”, “us”), 106 Lake Street, Kirkland, WA 98033, handles personal information collected through this website, in our store, and when you book a consultation, buy from us, or trust us with your jewelry.
Information you give us
Booking a consultation
When you book a consultation we collect:
- your name, email address and phone number;
- what the visit is about, whether you'd like to meet in person, by video or by phone, and your preferred date and time;
- anything you add yourself, such as notes, a budget range, or your wishlist if you choose to attach it.
We use this to schedule and prepare for your appointment, send you a confirmation (with a calendar file you can add to your own calendar), contact you about your visit, and follow up on any work we do for you. The details are emailed to our team and added to our appointment calendar.
Contacting us
If you email or call us, we keep the information you share so we can respond and help with your request.
Purchases, repairs, appraisals and custom work
When you buy from us or leave a piece with us, we keep the records needed to provide that service, take payment and meet our legal and tax obligations. Depending on the service, this can include a description and photographs of your jewelry, your ring size, the stones and metals involved, repair notes, and copies of appraisal and grading reports. Appraisal details are kept so we can provide copies or updates for insurance purposes. Payment card details are handled by our payment processor and aren't stored on this website.
Design ideas you share
Photos, sketches, inspiration images and family stories you share with us for a custom design are used to create your piece. Sketches, CAD renderings and 3D-printed models we produce for you remain our design work, and we keep them on file in case you want changes or a matching piece later.
Mailing list
If you join our mailing list, we collect your email address and, if you choose, your mobile number, to send you news, offers and jewelry tips. See Marketing emails and texts below.
Visiting our store
For the safety of our clients, staff and merchandise, our store uses security cameras. Recordings are used only for security, are kept for a limited time, and are shared only with our security provider or the authorities if an incident needs investigating.
Information collected automatically
Website analytics (only with your permission)
If you accept analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site, such as which pages are viewed, how visitors arrived, and general device, browser and approximate location information. This helps us improve the site. It isn't used for advertising: advertising features are switched off. Nothing is collected unless you accept, and you can change your choice at any time using Cookie Settings at the bottom of every page.
Server logs
Like any website, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical information such as IP addresses and the pages requested, to keep the site secure and working. These logs are kept for a short period.

Staff who sign in to manage the website also receive a sign-in cookie. Visitors never do.
Marketing emails and texts
We only send marketing emails or text messages if you've signed up for them. You can stop at any time:
- Email: use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of our emails.
- Text messages: reply STOP to any message. Reply HELP for help. Message frequency varies; message and data rates may apply.
- Or contact us and we'll remove you. Unsubscribing from marketing doesn't affect messages about your appointments, orders or repairs.
We never sell, rent or share your email address or mobile number with anyone for their own marketing.
Showcasing our work
We're proud of what we make, so we may share photos, sketches, renderings or videos of pieces we design, make or restore on this website (for example, in Recent Work) and on social media. We show the jewelry only. We won't use your name, photos of you, or details that identify you without your permission. If you'd rather a piece made for you not be shown, tell us and we'll keep it private or take it down.
Who we share information with
We don't sell or rent your personal information, and we don't share it for advertising. We share it only with:
- Service providers who run our website and business on our behalf: website hosting (Vercel), email and calendar (Google), and website analytics (Google Analytics, only with your consent). They may only use it to provide their services to us.
- Trusted craft partners, such as our watchmaker, pearl stringer, stone cutter or appraisal laboratory, when needed to complete work you've asked us to do.
- Authorities or advisers when required by law, or to protect our rights, our clients or the public.
- A successor business, if Lake Street Diamond Company is sold or reorganized, under the same protections described here.
Links to other websites
Our site may link to other websites, such as grading laboratories or social media. Their privacy practices are their own, so please review their policies when you visit them.
How long we keep information
We keep consultation details for up to two years after our last contact with you, unless you become a client, in which case we keep the records needed to care for your jewelry and meet legal, tax and accounting requirements. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or make it anonymous.
How we protect it
The website is served only over encrypted connections (HTTPS), and access to booking details and our systems is limited to staff who need it. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we work hard to protect your information.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy;
- correct anything that's inaccurate;
- delete your information, unless we must keep it for legal reasons;
- stop contacting you.

Our website and services are intended for adults. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, please contact us and we'll delete it.
